He was purchased from a taxidermist, here in Michigan. He wasn't cleaned very well, but it adds to his rustic charm. I think he was a black bear, not big enough for a grizzly. All the teeth are there and in great shape. He would look good on a mantle or in a lodge or even in a tattoo shop. I say he but she's most likely female. All animals die of natural causes. I don't hunt and I would never dream of hurting an animal for my own personal gain. I was told she was hit by a car. Take good care of her. She's my favorite piece.
